The Oregon Aviation Historical Society is seeking a qualified, part-time Museum Assistant to act as a docent and provide clerical work. This role will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks. Interest in aviation or general history and experience in non-profit is a plus, but not required. Other duties includes, but are not limited to: Welcome visitors and act as docent during museum hours QuickBooks desktop proficiency for full-charge bookkeeping, maintain financial record and budgeting Clerical tasks such as preparing documents, updating Google database records for membership and handling correspondence Operating online point-of-sale system for gift shop and donations Maintain membership and donor records Attend and take minutes at quarterly Board meetings Support marketing and communication efforts, GoDaddy website, Facebook and Instagram Assist with museum displays and organization Collaborate with Board to plan events throughout the year Work Saturdays, as needed, for events and meetings Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Proficient in QuickBooks desktop Graphic design a plus Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Non-profit experience a plus Interest in aviation or history in general, a plus Flexible with schedule Hours per week: (24) Tuesday-Friday 10:00am-4:00pm and some Saturday events during the summer. $19.00 per hour.
