Join us on April 25 at the Axe & Fiddle for this month’s Science on Tap! Have a pint with the watershed council and the people we work with while enjoying great food, trivia, and more! Free to enter, and 10% of all sales benefit the CFWWC. Featuring a presentation on the Urban Waters and Wildlife program by Sarah Whitney, Urban Waters & Wildlife Program Manager at the Long Tom Watershed Council! “The Urban Waters & Wildlife Program provides scientific, educational, and technical expertise to reduce pollutants entering our local rivers and streams and introduce wildlife habitat deep into the city’s heart. Most visible is the work with commercial and industrial partners to address stormwater pollution voluntarily in Eugene, Springfield, and the watershed’s smaller towns. This upstream approach improves drinking water in the Long Tom and Willamette rivers, benefiting communities downstream in the watershed and beyond.”
