DESCRIPTION:Join the Cottage Grove Christmas Bird Count led by Coast Fork Birder\, Grace Fowler-Gore! All levels of bird enthusiasts are welcome and encouraged to contribute to this great citizen science effort while learning from experienced birders who will lead the count sections. Meet at 7am at the Koffee Kup\, 1241 N. Pacific Hwy. (Hwy. 99)\, Cottage Grove\, for a morning breakfast meeting to organize into teams. Birders will head into the field by 7:30am. The end of day "countdown" will take place at 4pm at El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant & Cantina\, 725 E. Gibbs Ave.\, Cottage Grove. Be sure to bring your birding gear\, weather appropriate clothing and lunch. Please plan to leave dogs at home. To participate\, contact Grace Fowler-Gore at GraceLovesBirds1@gmail.com or 817-975-4936 for optimal placement in a birding sector of your preference.
