SUMMARY:Annual Bald Eagle Count
DESCRIPTION:Join the Coast Fork Birders for the annual Bald Eagle Count led by Alison Center! All levels of bird enthusiasts are welcome to join. Meet at the Koffee Kup restaurant by 9am to check in for the Dorena Reservoir count. Arrive earlier if you would like to have breakfast beforehand. Participants will depart the Koffee Kup shortly after 9am so as to be birding in the field by 9:30am. The Cottage Grove Reservoir count will take place in the afternoon. Meet at 2pm at the USACE Lakeside Park on London Rd. to check in. Bring birding gear\, weather appropriate clothing and your own snacks and water. This count will contribute citizen science data on juvenile and adult bald eagles (and other birds that winter in the area) around Dorena Reservoir and Cottage Grove Reservoir to the Oregon Eagle Foundation's statewide midwinter eagle count. This will be the 26th annual count led by Alison Center
