Join us to save trees and protect water quality on the Coast Fork Willamette River! On October 28th from 9am-12pm, the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council (CFWWC) will host an ivy-pulling work party at Riverside Park in Cottage Grove. If left unchecked, English ivy can climb and kill trees. Trees along river and streambanks are essential to water quality and a healthy riparian area, and protecting established trees in this park is a high priority. The CFWWC needs your help in removing this invasive species from local streams and rivers! Please RSVP to maggie@coastfork.org or call the CFWWC office (541) 767-9717. The CFWWC will provide tools, water, snacks and gloves. Bring your refillable water bottle and dress for the weather. This event is rain or shine. Riverside Park is located at the intersection of Main Street & South River Road in Cottage Grove. Street parking is available on South River Road. If you are unable to attend but want to show your support, please consider making a donation to the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council. To make a donation or for more information, you may call our office (541) 767-9717 or visit our website http://coastfork.org/about-us/make-a-donation.
