The Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council, City of Cottage Grove, Urban Forestry Committee and First Presbyterian Church Earth and Social Justice Committee welcomes the community to join us in celebrating Earth Day. The annual Earth Day Celebration is designed to educate all ages on environmental awareness. Fun for the whole family, this event will feature local site tours, live music, informational booths hosted by community organizations, local vendors, youth activities, face painting, food and a Native American blessing. Free tours will take place at the City of Cottage Grove Water Treatment Plant, Aprovecho Sustainability Center and Kizer Creek Farm. Round trip transportation from Coiner Park to tour locations will be provided by South Lane Wheels at no cost to participants. The 2017 Earth Day Celebration will take place on Saturday, April 22nd from 10am to 4pm at Coiner Park, 1319 East Main Street in Cottage Grove. The event is free and open to the public. Tour sign up is available with the Cottage Grove Library, please call 541-942-3828 or visit 700 E. Gibbs Ave., Cottage Grove to reserve your spot on the local site tour(s) of your choice.
